About Us
Jim Jury (Principal) has been associated with the Automotive Industry in excess of 30 years, counting BP Australia Limited, Toyota Motor Corporation & Hyundai Automotive Distributors Australia Pty Ltd as major employers. While at Toyota Motor Corporation Jim held the position of Business Management Manager, Dealer Development Manager & Marketing Manager for the Commercial Vehicle Division & was also appointed to the Board of Commercial Motor Industries Ltd, Adelaide. During this time he prepared an in depth marketing study of the Adelaide Metropolitan area to determine key areas of influence, strengths & weaknesses of the Toyota dealer network. This study was sent to Japan & used as the model for Australia. In 1988 he was appointed Regional Manager for Hyundai Automotive Distributors Australia Pty Ltd accountable for appointing dealers, training & establishing the brand in both SA & NT. Jim received Accounting qualifications while with BP, has a Certificate (IV) in Workplace Assessment & is a member of the Australian Institute of Management (AIMM CPMgr).
Considering the experience gained in the Automotive Industry, Jim was approached by L J Williams & Associates, Melbourne, (national automotive personnel consultants) to open a branch in Adelaide to service SA & NT. After a short period L J Williams & Associates decided to withdraw from SA, QLD and NSW to concentrate solely on Victoria. At this time (July 1997) Jim Jury decided to continue in his own right and commenced trading as Automotive Personnel offering a complete staff recruitment and management services business to the automotive dealer network and allied fields of Industry.
